My account was moved from Kensington mortgages to Pepper UK Limited. I have never felt so much rage. Pepper UK Limited told me I had missed a payment which I hadn’t. They received money from my bank account and transferred it back to me without my knowledge without my knowledge and they never communicated with me the reasons why. All of a sudden every other month my mortgage keeps getting high interest which I’ve never experienced over the past 14/15years with Kensington mortgages. That payment which they transferred to my account, I paid it off when I contacted them, for them to tell me I had to verify my bank details for them to accept payments from my bank which I did. On my credit report it’s now showing a missed a payment and yet it was their fault and won’t rectify it when yet their colleague had told me the issue was resolved. They also told me I have missed payments thereafter and yet I make payments on time each month. I’ve had it and I wish Kensington Mortgages where still dealing with my mortgage because I fear for the worst with this company Pepper UK Limited also known as Engage Credit that I only find out when I noticed they appeared with a different name on my bank statement and as customers this is information that was never mentioned to us. I fear for the worst even opening their letters gives me anxieties as I don’t even know what’s next. I’m at a point where I want to report them to FCA because something dodgy is definitely going on that we as customers are continuously paying off these interests charges because we don’t want to lose our homes. It’s heartbreaking to be dealing with a company you can’t even trust.

Very inefficient when dealing with its customers, there appears to be a lack of efficient internal processes in dealing with customers. I have been dealing with the administration section of Pepper Money since mid August about the redemption of my mortgage. As I write, I have still not received my final redemption statement despite the fact that the mortgage was redeemed on 19 August 2022. I have called Pepper Money on many occasions ( it takes on average 45 minutes to pick my calls)about the redemption of my mortgage and lodged a complaint but still I have no idea when the issues raised with be resolved. I cancelled my direct debit with the company to ensure that no money is taken from my account. I continue to receive threatening arrears letters from Pepper Money. This morning, I received another arrears letter and acknowledgment letter supposed to be coming from a senior officer with no name. It’s stated in his or her letter that a copy of the complaint is enclosed but no copy was enclosed. No customer care culture in this company. John

Deeply concerning company. it's now taken a month for Pepper Money to acknowledge our loan has been paid back in full, and release our house from it's second charge. Every time I call they insist we owe more money - which they then realise we don't! (As we don't) Multiple calls on, and still no sign of any paperwork to finalise the loan. The staff are friendly enough, but they clearly have an agenda. I now have no choice but to report Pepper Money to the FCA for breach of contract. I would avoid this firm as they cause lots of unnecessary stress, and for anyone not as sharp as we are , would easily bamboozle customers into paying them money they are not owed. Disgraceful.
