Just wanted to say how impressed we have been with the West One BTL underwriting team. Bev Hennessey and Samuel Shaw are two of the underwriters that have gone out of their way to help us and keep us informed on our applications. They both have provided a brilliant service and always pick up the phone and discuss the requirements to get the applications moving faster.

If I could give zero stars I would. The only good reviews on here are from brokers, the rest are from disgruntled applicants or customers. Nearly 6 weeks processing our application, to then be turned down for something that was inaccurately recorded on my husband's credit file which he's had removed and is no longer showing. We even shared a letter from the company with West One saying they had added it in error and apologising. We have been continually back and forth providing more evidence for almost 6 weeks. We have answered every single query they have come back with. We cleared all of our credits cards as they advised at mortgage in principle stage and for what? Absolute waste of time, money and stress. It does not take nearly 6 weeks to say no. Our solicitor is about 2-3 weeks away from exchange and we now have no mortgage and we're out of pocket for the privilege! Invasive questions, it got to a point where I thought they were going to ask for my medical records or my inside leg measurements! Disgusting, avoid like the plague. Feel like we've dodged a bullet with 2k arrangement fees, 450 valuation fee and 7.6% interest, to still feel like I'd have had to hand over my first born child to get this over the line.

Been dealing with Michelle a team leader @ West one and Amelia one of the underwriters. Both of them could not do enough to help me get a case through. Jumping on items as soon as they were uploaded, going outside of their usual processes to help get a case through leading to an offer. Amazing service and team!
